Why did
RUSH

In the early morning, Grado seemed almost suspended between two worlds. The streets were quiet, the shutters of the small shops were still closed, and the first pale light of the day was beginning to creep across the façades of the buildings. Somewhere in the distance a car passed, a door opened, and gradually the town began to stir, but for a little while longer there was a sense that the whole place belonged to those of us who had chosen to get up early and walk.
